The Gatehouse was established in 2015 as an initiative of projectHandUp, a Christian organization, to address the increasing challenges faced by women in the community, including unemployment and underemployment. The organization believes in providing women and children with a hand up for permanent, positive change. Through their holistic approach, they offer a comprehensive program that includes time, resources, and relationships to help women create a foundation for self-sustainability. The Gatehouse Program focuses on empowering women with hope, goal-setting coaching, and the development of a Personal Empowerment Plan. They emphasize the dignity of earned success and provide individualized support to meet each member's specific needs. By the end of the program, members graduate with increased confidence and skills to manage their financial, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. The Gatehouse welcomes support from individuals and offers various ways to get involved in making a lasting difference in the lives of its members.
