Idaho Weight Loss & Wellness
Idaho Weight Loss offers the Idaho Weight Loss (IWL) Method, a comprehensive program for medical weight management. The program consists of three phases: active weight loss, transition, and long-term maintenance. During the active weight loss phase, patients will have an initial longer appointment to gather information and set goals. Subsequent appointments are typically shorter and occur monthly. The duration of the active weight loss phase is variable but averages between 6 to 9 months for first-time patients.
In the transition phase, the focus shifts towards future weight maintenance. Medication doses are gradually reduced and spaced out, and the time between visits is lengthened. Patients continue practicing the nutritional and lifestyle changes they learned during active weight loss.
The maintenance phase starts once a patient has established long-term lifestyle and metabolic changes. Some patients may be completely off weight loss medications, while others may require a small maintenance dose. During this phase, patients monitor their weight at home within an individual range established by the clinic.
Idaho Weight Loss aims to provide a safe place for patients to return whenever needed and offers ongoing support for maintaining weight loss in the long term.
